Egg Freezing
Overview

What is Egg Freezing?

Egg freezing, or oocyte cryopreservation, is a method of preserving your fertility by freezing your eggs at their current quality. Using advanced vitrification technology, your eggs are flash-frozen and stored in liquid nitrogen until you're ready to use them. This gives you the freedom to pursue your career, find the right partner, or simply take time before starting a family.

  • Preserve fertility at your current age
  • 95%+ egg survival rate with vitrification
  • Use when you're ready - no expiration
  • Same process as the first half of IVF

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Egg Freezing treatment

The number depends on your age and fertility goals. Generally, we recommend 10-20 eggs for a reasonable chance of a future pregnancy. Women under 35 typically retrieve more eggs per cycle. We can discuss whether multiple cycles might benefit you.

The best time is before age 35 when egg quality is highest. However, egg freezing can be beneficial up to age 40. We'll assess your individual situation and help you make an informed decision.

Frozen eggs can be stored indefinitely. There's no evidence that storage time affects egg quality. We've seen successful pregnancies from eggs frozen for over 10 years.

When you're ready, your eggs are thawed, fertilized with sperm (from a partner or donor), and the resulting embryos are transferred to your uterus, just like the second half of an IVF cycle.
